I'm Dries De Win, sculptor, visual theater maker, director, writer, performer and camera puppeteer.
Over the past 15 years I created performances from concept to stage. I wrote, directed, designed, and built visual theater productions. Working with big crews, complex techniques, extreme locations, and sets. After this wonderful career in the theater scene, I returned to my roots as a sculptor in the visual arts.
A few months ago I brought all of that experience together and founded atelier DEWIN.
A visual fabrication studio with a rich passion and expertise in visual arts, and a huge appetite for extreme and rare projects.
But AD is not a one-man show. It's a fast growing physical place where sculptors, designers, builders, puppet creators, costume designers, painters, technicians, animators and other visual artists can come together to make ambitious work.
I work with a trusted network, and bring the right talents together when a project calls for it.
My ambition is simple: create great work, with great people under fair practices.
